COLORSTEEL® Endura - 30 year warranty
Colorsteel Endura consists of a steel strip, coated with a 45% zinc, 55% aluminium alloy to a nominal coating mass of 150g/m². Following pre-treatment, a corrosion inhibitive primer, and top coat is applied to the outer surface and corrosion inhibitive primer and a backer to provide colour and corrosion performance. Colorsteel Endura is covered by a 30 year warranty against perforation as a result of corrosion in a Moderate Coastal environment (over 500 metres from breaking surf). It comes in a modern range of standard colours.
PLAIN ZINCALUME® - 15 year warranty
Plain Zincalume is an unpainted material which has an alloy coating of 43.5% zinc, 55% aluminium and 1.5% silicon. Plain Zincalume is covered by a 15 year warranty against perforation as a result of corrosion in a Moderate Coastal environment (500 metres from breaking surf)
GALVANISED STEEL - No warranty
It is not covered by warranty and is slightly more expensive than Plain Zincalume. It has a very similar look to Plain Zincalume. For these reasons Galvanised is usually only used where it needs to match in with an existing roof for a repair.
COLORSTEEL® Maxx – 15 year warranty
Colorsteel Maxx is designed to offer greater protection when your roof is by the sea. It’s for areas that are greater than 50m from breaking surf on the East Coast and areas greater than 100m from breaking surf on the West Coast. It offers a 15 year warranty for these coastal areas. It is more expensive than the other metal roofing options so is usually only used in high sea spray zones.
